To mark LGBT History month Beacons, Icons and Dykons brings you… Victim starring Dirk Bogarde and Sylvia Syms.

Quite simply a watershed moment in cinema history. The first mainstream film to portray sympathetically and realistically homosexual society, it did so at a time when homosexuality was still a crime in Britain. It is notable in film history for being the first English language film to use the word homosexual.

As well as the film there will be performance from Bristol’s finest performers inspired by the film and the pre liberation days, all hosted by Tom Marshman.
