Kenneth Anger

Beacons, Icons and Dykons pays tribute to the highly influential American underground experimental film-maker Kenneth Anger. Anger himself has been described as “one of America’s first openly gay film-makers, and certainly the first whose work addressed homosexuality in an undisguised, self-implicating manner.’

The films will be accompanied by a heady mix of performances that promise to be Anger inspired, being, surreal, homoerotic with a little touch of the occult.

Trashy, moving, hit and run performances that make going to the movies feel weirdly hedonistic.

Artists: Tom Marshman and Pete Barret, Clare Thornton, Liz Clarke
